The Kardex Remstar Horizontal Carousel module consists of an oval track supporting rotating bins with shelves. A motor located inside of the oval track powers the carriers around the track horizontally, stopping at a pre-designated access point for storage or retrieval of goods.

3. Shelf thickness of 26 mm

A shelf lock can be installed as an option. This minimizes the vibration noise of un­loaded shelves, since they are connected to the carrier at the cross bar. 1. Dual workstation

The Kardex Remstar Horizontal Carousel smart warehouse is installed in a dual station with an I- or L-shaped configurations, its access openings arranged in a right angle to each other is suitable for a room height of up to 3 meters and can be comfortably operated by just one person. Moreover, the L-shape reduces the distance traveled by the picker by 1 meter compared to the I-shape, which facilitates handling and saves time.

2. Triple and quadruple work stations

Installing the Kardex Remstar Horizontal Carousel smart warehouse system into triple or quadruple workstations is the ideal solution for a wide range of items that require frequent access. The layout of the Kardex Remstar HCM system of triple or quadruple work stations is usually L-shaped, U-shaped or I-shaped (if all the Kardex Remstar HCM machines have the same length)

This automated warehouse system is suitable for rooms up to three meters high up to 3 m and allows for picking with several operators at the same time.

3. Multilevel work stations

For multilevel work stations, the Kardex Remstar Horizontal Carousel smart warehouse system is installed in multilevel stations, where each level has two or three Kardex Remstar Horizontal Carousels of a height of 2.5 meters stacked one above the other.

Each level of the Kardex Remstar HCM smart warehouse operates independently; the operating and picking stations are located on the respective floor level. A conveyor system can be installed in order to ensure the material flow between the different levels. These automated warehouse systems allow for picking and putting on different floor levels and are suitable for a maximum room height of 9 meters.

4. Tall station with lifting platform

The Kardex Remstar Horizontal Carousel smart warehouse is installed with a tall station with lifting platform – Combination of between two and four Kardex Remstar Horizontal Carousels, each horizontal carousel is four meters high – An excellent floor space optimization solution for an existent warehouse height of 4.5 meters.
